Revolution Manchester - Cycling

Had a great night at Revolution last night. Quite a few of the big name sprinters were out, Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny, Matt Crampton. Hoy lost out in the Sprint Semi Final to Jason Kenny but won the Keirin. The team sprint was won by Hoy, Kenny and Crampton.

Loved the Derny racing but the smell of the fumes from the Derny bikes lasted long after the race was finished !

Here are some photos - there a load more on my Facebook page which can be found here

Revolution 23 Cycling Manchester 10th January 2009

A couple of weeks ago we headed off to the velodrome in Manchester to watch some track cycling. Excellent night out.

The night started with a couple of burly rugby players kicking off one of the races. From there the competition never let up. Victoria Pendleton stole the show winning all of her races comfortably! There were a couple of riders from the team GB that did so well at the recent Olympics.

Another highlight of the night was the banana and honey pancake ........ mmmmmmmmm.

I took some photos but they didn't come out very good but Andy has a far better camera so I've knicked a couple of his!

That guy on the front with the engine is always going to win ... it's a good job he has to pull off before the end!

Looking forward to Revolution 24 in February as it looks like Hoy will be racing!
